Jumping Back In
Whew! It has been early May since my last post! What the heck! I guess I have been getting use to my new schedule, which changes every other day. I wasn't sure if I should retire this site or not...but then I just knew that a part of me would feel strange about doing that. So, here it is. I am jumping back in and will hopefully not let this thing get all dusty again.
It's been quite a change leaving my corporate life. I don't miss it AT ALL. This has been the first summer (in a very long time) that I have really been able to enjoy. I actually have a real tan. Here's what has been happening.
It started off with a trip with my Mom to Kauai. What an amazing place. The people are so nice, the air smells sweet and the beaches are gorgeous.
This is a shot from Kipu Ranch. We were able to get up on a private hill to take pictures of Turtle Bay, which was where that silly movie, Six Days Seven Nights was filmed.

My husband had to almost send me away for my insanity with plants this spring. I really spent a lot of time in the garden. I planted a lot of foxgloves around the front tree, which have become my all time favorite. The flowers were blooming magnificently this season.

Nature just rocks!

And, our garden is finally kicking some butt this year. After last year's disaster with grubs, we were so excited that we could fill up a basket full of veggies this season.

Although catering is keeping me somewhat busy, I am now filling any days off with painting furniture for my husband's little shop space. He finds good deals on old stuff and then I try to give them new life.

Oh, I also celebrated 32 years of life back in June. This one hit me harder than 30...not sure why. I guess it's mostly not knowing what I'll be when I grow up. In the meantime, I plan to have fun while I figure it all out.
More fun stuff to come (I promise!).
