I think there should be some kind of patience course you can take before you decide to remodel a kitchen. This is suppose to be fun, right? Something to look forward to. Well, so far...it's very streeeesssssfullll. I can't find a single decent contractor. Oh sure, if I had all the money in the world, I'd have my new kitchen by now. The latest contractor wants to charge me $23,000 in labor to rip out my old cabinets and tear down a wall. Oh, the materials are billed separately and that doesn't inlcude installing the cabinets or the countertops. (Insert puzzled look here).

Has anybody out there remodeled there own kitchen? Can you offer any advice? I think we are headed down that path.
